Qualifications

• Training or experience in laundry operations or a similar support role.
• Knowledge of hygiene, infection control and safe chemical handling.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Reliable and positive approach to work.
• Ability to work respectfully with older people and as part of a team.
• Experience in residential aged care or a similar environment is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing residents’ laundry and linen.
• Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring laundry is returned to residents promptly and respectfully.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and well-organised laundry area.
• Following infection control, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Correctly handling laundry chemicals and cleaning products.
• Treating residents’ personal belongings with care, dignity and respect.
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to help create a welcoming, homelike environment.
