Job summary

Respect Group Limited in Merbein is seeking a reliable Part-Time Laundry Services Assistant to join Respect Chaffey House. You will manage residents' clothing and linen with care, operate laundry equipment safely, and help maintain a clean, homelike environment.

A current Police Certificate and Aged Care Worker Screening clearance are required or able to obtain. The role emphasizes hygiene, teamwork and respectful treatment of residents, with attention to detail and a positive, dependable

Qualifications

Experience in laundry operations or similar role.
Knowledge of hygiene, infection control and chemical handling.
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
Reliable and positive approach to work.
Ability to work respectfully with older people and as part of a team.
Experience in residential aged care is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute residents’ laundry and linen.
Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure laundry is returned to residents promptly and respectfully.
Maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised laundry area.
Follow infection control, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.
Correctly handle laundry chemicals and cleaning products.
Treat residents’ personal belongings with care, dignity and respect.
Work collaboratively with the wider team to create a welcoming, homelike environment.
