Job summary

Community Housing Limited (CHL) is seeking resilient Caretakers to join our team in Hampton or Brighton, VIC. These permanent full-time roles focus on maintaining safe, quality housing and interacting with residents in a welcoming environment.

As part of the facilities management team, you will perform general handyperson tasks, cleaning, and coordinating preventative maintenance with contractors. You will support move-ins/outs and provide excellent customer service while upholding CHL safety

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, janitorial or handyperson roles.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with an openness to working with people from all walks of life.
• Ability to take responsibility, work independently and manage multiple tasks to completion.
• Basic IT skills (e.g. property management software, email).
• Green/White WHS construction induction card or willingness to obtain.
• Current Police, Working with Children Check & Drivers Licence (mandatory) or willingness to obtain.

• Conducting regular site inspections and reporting issues.

• Providing friendly, professional customer service with residents.
• Ensuring safe working practices in line with CHL health and safety policies.

We are currently seeking resilient and dedicated Caretakers to join our team. These permanent full time roles are based in Hampton OR Brighton in the South East. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and safety of our residential assets, ensuring our residents live in well-kept, welcoming environments.

The Role

Duties

As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the upkeep of residential properties within the portfolio. Working as part of our facilities management team, your duties will include:
