Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care at Newmarch House. You will assist with daily tasks, attend to residents’ wellbeing, and help enhance independence and quality of life.

You will work with nurses and the care team to support residents and document progress, while maintaining privacy and dignity. Morning, afternoon and night shifts are available on a casual basis.

Formación

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
• Minimum six months' experience providing personal care in aged care.
• Current NDIS worker screening clearance.
• Experience using electronic care management or digital documentation systems.
• Australian working rights for the position.
• Availability to work morning, afternoon and night shifts on casual basis.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and other physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Observe, monitor and accurately document residents’ care and progress.
• Follow individual care plans and respond to residents’ needs and preferences.
• Escalate changes in a resident’s condition to the Registered Nurse or appropriate leader.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals and other care team members.
• Maintain residents’ privacy, dignity, safety and independence.

As a Carer at Anglicare Sydney’s Newmarch House, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care that supports our residents to live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, attending to residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing. What’s Required

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum six months’ experience providing personal care in aged care or a similar healthcare environment
• Current NDIS workers screening check clearance.
• Experience using electronic care management or digital documentation systems
• Australian working rights appropriate to the position
• Availability to work Morning /afternoon and Night shifts on casual basis.

What’s Preferred

• Experience working in residential aged care
• Experience supporting people living with dementia
• Experience completing progress notes and following individual care plans
• Experience working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary care teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
