Job summary

Anglicare Sydney seeks a permanent Part-time Carer to support residents with daily living tasks, emotional care and companionship, ensuring comfort and dignity in a nurturing environment.

You will work Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons, with a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support and at least 2 years of experience. NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required and qualifications must be recognized in Australia.

Your opportunity

As a permanent Part time Carer (Monday nights, Wednesday Afternoons) at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment. With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What is required?

Availability to work Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID. All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
