Anglicare Sydney seeks a Casual Carer to provide high quality care to residents, supporting daily tasks, emotional well-being, and companionship in a caring environment.

You will help with personal care, mobility, and monitoring residents, while collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure person-centred, dignified care and inclusive practices within the facility.

Formación

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification is required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance is required.
• Qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Assist with mobility and physical tasks for residents.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress and preferences.

Required availability: Tue 3pm-8pm , Wed 2pm-10pm , Thu 2pm-10pm.

Your opportunity

As a Casual Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal careassistance, including showering, dressing,groomingandfeeding.

• Support residents with mobility and physicalassistance.

• Providecompanionship and emotional support.

• Monitor and document residents’ progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.

• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What you’ll bring

You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.

What’s required?

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

• AnNDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.

• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian QualificationsFramework.

• A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life.

• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

• An understanding of the importance ofmaintainingresidents’ dignity and independence.
