Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents. You will assist with daily tasks, offer emotional support, and help maintain residents' dignity and independence in a nurturing facility.

Formación

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification recognised under Australian Qualifications Framework.

As a Carer at Anglicare Sydney, you will provide high quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. You will assist with daily tasks, provide emotional support, and offer companionship to residents. You will ensure the physical comfort and emotional health of our residents are met in a caring and nurturing environment.

With kindness and understanding, you will:

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, ensuring their needs and preferences are met.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care while fostering a positive and inclusive environment within the facility.

What you'll bring

You are a kind-hearted, patient and respectful person who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people. You share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, and bring them to everything you do.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, a minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar role.
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance ID.
• All required qualifications must be recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• An understanding of the importance of maintaining residents' dignity and independence.
