Job summary

Cranbourne East Secondary College is seeking a Careers and Pathways Practitioner to provide specialist careers education, vocational guidance and pathway planning for students from Year 7 to Year 12. The role coordinates workplace learning, VET and SBAT programs, and partners with employers, RTOs and tertiary providers to support student outcomes.

The position emphasizes data-driven planning, cross-team collaboration and compliance with Department policies to improve transitions and post-school

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of careers education, vocational pathways and post-school transition programs including VCE, VET and SWL.
• Ability to coordinate careers and pathways programs with documentation and liaison responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and counselling skills for students, families and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group career counselling for students across Years 7–12.
• Coordinate VET, SBAT and SWL programs and related workplace learning activities.
• Organise careers expos, information sessions and partnerships with employers and tertiary providers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with program requirements.
