Job summary

AKG is seeking an Employment Skills Training Facilitator to join its National Team in Australia. The role involves delivering group training to job seekers, promoting EST courses, and providing completion reports for participants.

You will understand local labour markets, ensure high engagement, identify interests for work trials, and connect seekers with apprenticeships and traineeships. Applicants must have working rights in Australia and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in Employment Services is highly regarded.
• Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office is essential.
• Efficient administration skills and able to demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Highly organised and able to self-manage day to day tasks appropriately.
• Capable of handling difficult situations and manage conflict.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with a range of diverse people.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating group training sessions to job seekers
• Promoting AKG and EST courses
• Providing completion reports to the job seekers participating in the program
• Understanding the needs of local employers and labour markets
• Ensuring high engagement of job seekers to complete the EST training blocks
• Identifying job seekers area of interest and assisting them to secure work trials
• Connecting job seekers through apprenticeship and traineeship
• Identifying issues and working with the host organisation or job seekers to resolve them
• Undertaking risk assessment for the job seeker and the host organisation for industry awareness experiences
