Breakthru in Brisbane is hiring a Career Coach to support individuals with disability, injury, or health conditions on their journey to meaningful employment. You’ll guide them from initial conversations through job applications and interviews, building confidence and skills along the way.

You’ll work in a collaborative team, connect with employers and community services, and help participants access upskilling opportunities while upholding Breakthru’s values of inclusion and person-centred care.

Qualifikationen

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services are desirable
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
• Current Driver’s License - essential

As a Career Coach at Breakthru, you’ll support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career. Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team, you’ll guide people through the job-readiness journey - helping them build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their career goals.

From the first conversation to job application and interview preparation, you’ll be there every step of the way - empowering individuals to take control of their future and feel ready to step into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include

You bring empathy, energy and a strong drive to make a difference. With experience, or a genuine passion, for employment services. You’re confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You’re outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

You love getting to know each client’s unique strengths, goals and challenges so you can coach them effectively and build their confidence for their next career. At the same time, you enjoy engaging with employers; taking the time to understand their business needs so you can prepare candidates who are the right fit. Your strong relationship-building skills allow you to connect with both clients and employers alike.

You’re proactive, professional, and detail-oriented, always maintaining accurate records and upholding a high standard of service. Above all, you lead with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive, person-centred support.

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) - desirable
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
• Current Driver’s License - essential
