Breakthru, proud to be part of the Royal Rehab Group, is seeking a Career Coach to help people with disability, injury or health conditions access meaningful employment across NSW and QLD. You’ll guide job-readiness, coach individuals, and support career growth within a collaborative team.

As a Career Coach, you’ll empower clients from first contact through applications and interviews, building confidence and coordinating with employers for sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
• Ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans.
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs.
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends.
• Current Driver's License is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan clients' next career steps and help find suitable jobs.
• Build strong relationships to understand goals, strengths and needs.
• Provide tailored coaching with regular check-ins to maintain progress.
• Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group activities.

Breakthru is proud to be selected by the Department of Social Services to deliver the new Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across key regions in New South Wales and Queensland. As a Career Coach at Breakthru, you'll support individuals with disability, injury or health conditions as they prepare for a meaningful career. Working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team, you'll guide people through the job-readiness journey - helping them build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their career goals.

From the first conversation to job application and interview preparation, you'll be there every step of the way - empowering individuals to take control of their future and feel ready to step into the workforce.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Working closely with clients as they plan their next career steps, providing support to find the right job along the way.
• Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths, and support needs.

About You..You bring empathy, energy and a strong drive to make a difference. With experience, or a genuine passion, for employment services. You're confident supporting people, building trust and guiding them toward meaningful and sustainable careers. You're outcomes-focused, highly organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

You love getting to know each client's unique strengths, goals and challenges so you can coach them effectively and build their confidence for their next career. At the same time, you enjoy engaging with employers; taking the time to understand their business needs so you can prepare candidates who are the right fit. Your strong relationship-building skills allow you to connect with both clients and employers alike.

You're proactive, professional, and detail-oriented, always maintaining accurate records and upholding a high standard of service. Above all, you lead with integrity, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive, person-centred support.

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g. Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work) - desirable
• Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
• Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
• Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
• Current Driver's License - essential
