Job summary

Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network is seeking casual Care Support Workers to provide in-home and residential support across the Fleurieu region. The role emphasizes personal care, mobility assistance, and assisting with daily living activities within a safe and compassionate framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised in-home and residential support to clients, including personal care, household tasks, meal preparation, social support, and assistance with mobility or therapy needs.
• Follow and contribute to individual care plans, monitoring client wellbeing and reporting changes in health or functional status to coordinators.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised environment, including equipment, aids, and client living spaces.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, participating in training, quality improvement activities, and client service reviews.
• Comply with workplace health and safety standards, infection control, confidentiality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

It also contributes to client wellbeing through support with routine treatments, medicationassistanceunder direction, and input into client assessments, ensuring care is responsive to individual needs and aligned with care plans.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, the role requires the ability to perform duties safely and effectively while exercising judgement and initiative within defined procedures. Ongoing training and skill development are essential, alongside a strong commitment to workplace health and safety, compliance, and continuous improvement to support high-quality care and positive team outcomes.
