Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a frontline carer focused on nutrition and dining to support residents with person-centred care. You will assist in meal preparation, delivery, presentation and service, respecting individual routines and preferences.

Responsibilities include menu considerations, allergy awareness, maintaining dining spaces and providing social interaction during meals, while upholding dignity and and safety standards across food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support focused on residents’ daily routines and nutrition.
• Assist with meal selection, timing and dining setup to meet individual preferences.
• Prepare, serve and maintain dining areas in line with Food Safety Plan and standards.
• Engage with residents to offer social and emotional support during meals.
• Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
• Assist with stock, food preparation and dining framework compliance.

This roleplays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice.Assistingin the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals.

Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned withresidentspreferred daily routines with a strong focus on:

• Meal choices and individual nutrition
• Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
• Enhancing the overall dining experience
• Assistresidents with mealselectionand meal timing preferences
• Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
• Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
• Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
• Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
• Prepare andmaintaindining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
• Maintainaccuratenutrition and diet information asrequired
• Assistwith quality food preparationin accordance withthe Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
• Assistwithmaintainingkitchen stock supplies asrequired

To be successful, you will have:

• Demonstrated customer service skills
• A compassionate and caring attitude
• Previousrestaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
• Willingness to take direction from others
• Reliability and shift flexibility
• Good timemanagement skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Complete a police checkand or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement
