BaptistCare is seeking a friendly Barista for The Gracewood Community, Sydney. This permanent part-time role is 20 hours per week, with 4 hours per day from Monday to Friday.

You will bring barista skills to prepare coffee, serve food and beverages, and handle POS operations in a welcoming environment. Ideal candidates will have café experience, a warm demeanor, and alignment with BaptistCare’s values, ensuring excellent service for older customers and contributing to a positive village

About the Role

Based at our beautiful The Gracewood Community, this exciting opportunity will see you interacting with people regularly, so a friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service skills are paramount. This permanent part-time role offers 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 4 hours per day.

• Prepare amazing coffee with your barista skills.
• Prepare and serve delicious food and drinks with a smile.
• Take orders and operate the point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine.
• Maintain a clean and safe café environment, ensuring all equipment is in top condition.
• Maintain the service area to food safety standards.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Barista and have all-round café experience – front of house and back of house. You should have a warm and welcoming disposition and empathy for older people, along with a genuine alignment to BaptistCare's purpose, vision and values. You will need to be available for shifts Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day.
