Job summary

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT – Merrylands NSW is seeking Part Time Care Service Employees to work across AM, PM and Night shifts at our Merrylands facility. You will assist residents with personal care, support meals, contribute to care planning with registered staff and document services provided.

Requirements include Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support, minimum 12 months aged care experience, and ability to uphold high quality care standards while ensuring resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support is required.
• Minimum 12 months experience in an Aged Care Facility.
• Ability to maintain high standards in quality care and support services.
• Understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth aged care legislation.

The Role:

Our Merrylands facility (NSW) is seeking Part Time Care Service Employees to work across AM, PM and Night shifts throughout the week.

Available Shifts:

• Day Shift -0630-1400hrs Thurs, Fri (2 days)
• Day Shift -0630-1400hrs Mon, Tues, Wed (3 days)
• Day Shift -0630-1430hrs Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri & Sat (5 days)

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting residents with personal care including showering
• Supporting residents with meals
• Contributing to care planning with registered staff
• Documenting care and services provided to residents
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities

Requirements:

• Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support
• Full time work rights - NO STUDENT VISA
• Minimum 12 months experience working in an Aged Care Facility
• Ability to set and maintain high standards in the provision of quality care and support services
• Ability to provide quality care and support to frail aged people
• Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care Providers.
