Bupa Ballina is seeking a friendly Hospitality Service Assistant to support our care home in Ballina, NSW. In this role you will help with catering, cleaning and laundry to create a warm, safe environment for residents.

You will work as part of a team, enjoy interacting with people, and bring flexibility to shift patterns. No prior catering or cleaning is essential, but any experience helps, and a commitment to WHS and high-quality service is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential.
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week.
• Understanding of work health, safety and hygiene practices and the ability to work unsupervised.

Responsabilités

• Maintain legislated workplace health and safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Respond to residents’ queries and requests.
• Laundry duties include loading washers & dryers, sort linen, hang, fold, wrap or iron linen.
• Catering / food services duties include assisting with basic food prep, provide meals and snacks, clear dining areas and dishwashing.
• Cleaning duties include general cleaning; mopping, vacuuming, and waste collection in the residents’ rooms, bathrooms, communal and living areas.
