Job summary

Bupa Australia is seeking a hands-on hospitality assistant to support the care home’s catering, cleaning and laundry needs. You will help deliver meals, keep rooms and common areas tidy, and ensure smooth daily operations for residents in a respectful and empathetic manner.

Strong communication and a flexible approach to shifts are valued, with training provided on health, safety and hygiene practices to maintain a safe living environment for all residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cleaning or catering experience preferred but not essential.
• Flexible availability for shifts throughout the week.
• Ability to work unsupervised and follow health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace health, safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Respond to residents’ queries and requests.
• Laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and folding.
• Catering/food services including basic food prep, meals and dishwashing.
• Cleaning duties in residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
