Job summary

PS Hobson Residential Aged Care Community provides 45-bed care with a focus on resident-centred services. The Nurse Unit Manager role leads the on-site team and oversees essential operations to ensure high-quality care for residents.

The position is a fixed full-time opportunity, paying approximately $69.38 per hour with salary packaging and superannuation. It is a parental leave cover from September 2026 to August 2027 under the Victorian Public Sector Enterprise Agreement.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Post graduate qualification in management and/or Aged Care nursing desirable.
• Demonstrated management experience in a Care Community (Aged Care setting).
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing theory to practice.
• Evidence of commitment to quality systems and Aged Care accreditation.
• Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement and the delivery of resident-centred care.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Registered Nurses to lead our dedicated team at PS Hobson Residential Aged Care Community. PS Hobson is a 45-bed Care Community located Gillies Street North, Wendouree. This position is recognised as a key management/leadership position within the organisation and is central to the provision of operational leadership and management to ensure high quality, safe and meaningful resident centred care.

The Care Community Manager role includes managerial responsibilities, budgeting, resource management, rostering and professional development.

About the Candidate

• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
• Post graduate qualification in management and/or Aged Care nursing desirable
• Demonstrated management experience in a Care Community (Aged Care setting)
• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing theory to practice

Fixed Full Time opportunity | 80 hours per fortnight including a monthly ADO

September 2026 - August 2027 (parental leave cover), This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Nurse Unit Manager (NM10) which is $69.38 per hour
