St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne invites an experienced Grade 4 Physiotherapist to lead the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy stream, providing strategic and operational leadership while maintaining a clinical caseload. You will work with the Physiotherapy Manager and Grade 3 clinicians to drive excellence, service development and innovation across the Cardiorespiratory service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant clinical physiotherapy experience.
• Postgraduate qualification, or PhD candidature nearing completion.
• Extensive knowledge of physiotherapy clinical service provision within an acute healthcare setting.
• Recognised by professional peers as a clinical expert, with broad and relevant experience within Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy.
• Demonstrated leadership, management, stakeholder engagement and networking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and the broader organisation.
• Extensive experience in the supervision, education and professional development of physiotherapists, students and support staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, research, service improvement and professional development.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical, strategic and operational leadership for the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy stream.
• Lead the delivery and ongoing development of high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services.
• Develop and implement the strategic direction of the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy team in collaboration with the Physiotherapy Manager.
• Provide and oversee high-quality clinical supervision, education and professional development for physiotherapy staff and students.
• Lead and support service improvement and change management initiatives.
• Represent Physiotherapy and Allied Health at relevant internal and external meetings, committees and professional forums.
• Coordinate and support research, program evaluation and quality improvement activities in collaboration with the Physiotherapy Manager and Physiotherapy Department Research Coordinator.
• Maintain an individual clinical caseload and provide expert physiotherapy consultation within the Cardiorespiratory stream.
