Job summary

Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a Research Assistant (Cardiology) to join the Medicine division at Lyell McEwin Hospital in Adelaide. This is a part‑time, fixed‑term role until 16 November 2028 (3.75 hours per week), offering pro rata salary and opportunities to contribute to meaningful clinical research.

You will support data collection, consent and follow‑up, maintain records, and assist with literature reviews and reporting in a multidisciplinary team, with eligibility

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience or academic exposure to clinical or health research methods.
• Solid understanding of research ethics, confidentiality, and Good Clinical Practice principles.
• Strong attention to detail with confident data management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Familiarity with SA Health research governance frameworks or willingness to quickly develop this knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection, entry, and quality checking across active cardiology research projects.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, consent processes, and follow‑up in line with ethical approvals.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to regulatory and ethics documentation.
• Support researchers and clinicians with literature reviews and project reporting.
