Job summary

Queensland X-Ray (QXR) is seeking a full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Radiographer to join our Toowoomba region team. You will work across two comprehensive Cath Lab environments, delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging under the supervision of cardiologists and nursing staff.

You will manage imaging procedures, adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols, and contribute to patient care before, during and after procedures.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration and QLD Radiation Use Licence or willingness to obtain.
• Customer service and patient care focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging across the range of cardiac catheterisation procedures (angiograms, angioplasty, structural heart, pacing, and vascular procedures).
• Collaborate with cath lab staff (cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals) to ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain accurate imaging documentation, databases and patient records.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Perform imaging in on-site operating theatres during Cath Lab downtime; training can be provided.

About The Role

Queensland X-Ray (QXR) is looking for a full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Radiographer to join our team and contribute to our Toowoomba region workforce.

This opportunity will allow you to work between two fully comprehensive practices, specifically within the Cardiac Cath Labs at both St Andrew's and St Vincent's Private Hospitals.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional imaging across the range of cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, structural heart, pacing and vascular procedures.
• Work alongside the Cath Lab staff, including cardiologists, nurses and other healthcare professionals, to provide a high standard of patient care throughout procedures, whilst also ensuring a high level of patient safety and comfort.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain accurate imaging documentation, database and patient records.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Perform imaging in on-site Operating Theatres during Cath Lab down-time; training can be provided as required.
