Job summary

SA Health through the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network invites applications for roles in the Cardiac Care Unit at Flinders Medical Centre. This RN/M1 position offers full-time or part-time ongoing opportunities to deliver patient-centred care in a high-acuity cardiology environment.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead care on a shift, mentor junior staff and contribute to outcomes for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. Apply by the closing date.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for patients in an acute cardiology setting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• The ability to think creatively, adapt to change and embrace innovation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• A commitment to teamwork and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Delivering health promotion, education and support to patients, families and carers.
• Providing clinical leadership and coordination of patient care on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and students.
• Contributing to safe and effective strategies for managing challenging behaviours.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of cardiac care.
