Job summary

SA Health, in partnership with Flinders Medical Centre, is inviting applications for a Registered Nurse (RN/M1) to join the Cardiac Care Unit. The role offers full-time, part-time, ongoing or temporary opportunities and the chance to work with a skilled cardiac team in a renowned hospital.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide patient-centred care, lead shift teams, mentor students and junior nurses, and contribute to cardiac care best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for patients in an acute cardiology setting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to think creatively, adapt to change and embrace innovation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Commitment to teamwork and delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver health promotion, education and support to patients, families and carers.
• Provide clinical leadership and coordination of patient care on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Support and mentor less experienced Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and students.
• Contribute to safe and effective strategies for managing challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of cardiac care.
