Job summary

Lyka is a pioneering Australian pet wellness company seeking a Capital Engineer to lead capital and non-capital projects across our manufacturing network. You will ensure site engineering practices align with Lyka standards, while contributing to the scalability and reliability of operations.

You will drive CAPEX initiatives to improve margins, safety, and quality, collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver compliant, on-time results in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in business or engineering.
• Strong experience in manufacturing project management.
• Attention to detail and tidy work habits.
• Experience with ISO quality systems, HACCP, GMP environments with FSSC 22000.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures.
• Hands-on, team-oriented with LEAN experience.
• Processing, packing, and mechanical experience.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement across teams and suppliers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and non-capital projects across Lyka operations.
• Ensure adherence to Lyka standards and site engineering practices.
• Support CAPEX and project governance from planning to handover.
• Contribute to Lyka's Food Safety Management System with FSSC 22000.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors for delivery.
• Deliver CAPEX initiatives to improve gross margin and safety.
• Engage suppliers and contractors during planning, install, and commissioning.
• Support lean and continuous improvement across operations.
• Coordinate end-to-end CAPEX process: URS, tenders, scheduling, risk mitigation.
• Maintain documentation and risk controls per standards.
