Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Hospital pharmacy experience in Australia (or equivalent).
• Competency in performing complex tasks in specialised areas of hospital pharmacy practice.
• Ability to prioritise large workload and have good time management.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willing to participate in sterile (including cytotoxic) manufacturing when required.
• Willing and able to work late shifts and overtime on weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential technical support across cancer care pharmacy services.
• Prepare and reconstitute chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies and other medicines.
• Support cancer clinical trials, drug distribution, inventory management and dispensing.
• Deliver accurate, timely and patient-focused pharmacy services across cancer care and other areas.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians, support staff and students.
• Participate in quality assurance, performance monitoring and professional development activities.
