Job summary

Emanate Technology is partnering with a federal government organisation in Canberra to hire an experienced .NET Developer for a small, high‑performing team responsible for supporting and enhancing several critical business applications.

The role combines operational support, maintenance, troubleshooting and feature delivery across multiple systems, requiring strong technical capability and excellent communication to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
• Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise applications.
• Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with SQL Server and data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and source control practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple applications simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to work closely with developers, testers, project teams and business users.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and contribute positively to a team environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of issues through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and enhance a range of enterprise applications.
• Develop new features and application enhancements using C# and .NET.
• Investigate and resolve production issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes.
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to application upgrades and platform improvements.
• Develop and maintain deployment and build processes.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities using Azure DevOps.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Work across multiple applications and contribute to ongoing service improvements.
