Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking an experienced Web Developer to join a hybrid Canberra-based capability delivery team. You will design, build and enhance modern web components and APIs, working with React, TypeScript, Node.js/Express, and automated testing in an agile environment.

The role emphasizes front-end focus with SPA development, state management, and secure data handling, while contributing to system improvements and documentation. NV1 clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript and ES6.
• Experience with modern build tools and bundlers such as Webpack.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile, Kanban and Scrum environments.
• Experience implementing UX specifications for public-facing applications.
• Strong SPA development experience.
• Experience with state management technologies such as Redux or MobX, routing and responsive design.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Understanding of secure authentication workflows and appropriate data handling.
• Ability to produce clear and detailed design and technical documentation.
• Current AGSVA NV1 security clearance is required. Clearance upgrades will not be sponsored for this position.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, integrate, deliver and document software solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Develop and enhance public-facing web components and supporting APIs.
• Work closely with business and product owners to clarify requirements using Agile delivery methods.
• Translate logical designs into physical solutions and integrate software using Agile development practices.
• Enhance automation capabilities across existing systems and recommend appropriate new tools and structures.
• Integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf and Government Off-The-Shelf software where required.
• Monitor systems and infrastructure and troubleshoot technical and support issues.
• Implement and maintain automated testing.
• Produce detailed technical and design documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the delivery team.
