Job summary

Bitek Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Branch Manager to take ownership of the Canberra operation and lead a small, close-knit team across trade counters, stock control and customer service.

You'll drive branch sales, manage daily operations, and ensure efficient stock handling while building strong relationships with customers and suppliers in the local wholesale and trade market. This hands-on leadership role combines people management with front-line involvement.

Qualifications

• This role requires a proven ability to lead a small team and drive sales results.
• A hands-on manager with strong customer service and operational know-how.
• Experience in wholesale, trade, distribution or a related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a small branch team.
• Build a positive, accountable and team-focused culture.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching and support.
• Lead by example and actively participate in daily branch activities.
• Drive branch sales and work towards revenue targets.
• Serve customers on the trade counter and handle enquiries.
• Maintain relationships with trade and wholesale customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts.
• Ensure customers receive excellent service and support.
• Oversee day-to-day branch and warehouse operations.
• Assist with receiving, stock checking, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Maintain accurate inventory and comply with WHS requirements.
• Operate a forklift when required and keep the warehouse organized.
