Job summary

CONSTANT is seeking Campus Support Officers to provide a visible, supportive presence across campus and student accommodation areas. The role blends safety, wellbeing, and customer service with a focus on engaging with students and delivering day‑to‑day assistance.

Successful candidates will be proactive, compassionate, and capable of handling distressing situations with calm, trauma-informed responses while escalating to campus management or emergency services when needed.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence is essential.
• First Aid and CPR certification is essential.
• Mental Health First Aid is highly regarded (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to remain calm and provide person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, approachable presence across campus and accommodation areas.
• Proactively engage with students and build positive, respectful relationships.
• Provide information, wayfinding and day-to-day assistance to students.
• Support distressed or unwell students and provide calm, trauma-informed responses.
• Respond to safety, wellbeing or harm concerns and escalate when required.
