About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role requires extensive painting and facilities upkeep activities, as well as administrative support through multiple work order and ticketing systems to ensure timely tracking, coordination, and completion of maintenance requests.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
  • Subject matter expert for repair & maintenance (R&M) activities across campus (break-fix & preventative maintenance)
  • Self-performance of break-fix repairs throughout campus or assigned buildings
  • Support preventative maintenance program throughout campus or assigned buildings
  • Lead lockdown activities with support of maintenance technician for campus
  • Supports vendor management of R&M vendors for the campus or assigned buildings
  • Self-performance of PM activities throughout campus or assigned
  • Trainee / self-performance of break-fix activities throughout campus or assigned buildings
  • Self-performance of lockdown activities at the campus with direction of Building Engineer
  • Escorts R&M vendors as needed for completion of preventative maintenance or break-fix activities for the campus or assigned buildings
  • Perform routine and project-based painting work throughout campus, including surface preparation, patching, touch-ups, wall painting, and finishing activities.
  • Perform painting-related maintenance works including refreshing parking line markings, directional indicators, designated parking zones, walkways, and hazard/safety markings throughout the campus to maintain compliance, visibility, and workplace safety.
  • Manage, update, and close maintenance requests across multiple ticketing and work order management platforms.
  • Manage Repair & Maintenance (R&M) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) work orders in accordance with established KPIs and SLAs, ensuring timely response, completion, and quality service delivery.
  • Provide administrative support for maintenance operations, including documentation, work order tracking, reporting, and service request coordination.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry within facility management and ticketing systems.
  • Drive service excellence and operational compliance through proactive monitoring, tracking, escalation, and closure of maintenance tickets and work orders.
  • Perform general handyman activities throughout the campus, including basic plumbing repairs, landscaping support, cleaning-related maintenance works, and maintenance inventory monitoring and management.

What You’ll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple ticketing, work order, or facilities management systems.
  • Strong administrative, data entry, and task-tracking skills with attention to detail.
