About the role

Mater Foundation are looking for a Campaigns Coordinator to join the team. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Mater Newstead Office.

As the healthcare needs of Queenslanders grow, so does the role of Mater Foundation.

Mater Foundation is an iconic Queensland fundraising and philanthropic institution, committed to providing exceptional care through health, education and research. It meets a profoundly satisfying mission to improve the health and wellbeing of our community and to continue the Mater tradition of care and compassion.

Mater Foundation helps to underpin an extensive network of hospitals across Queensland, a world-class research institute and a nationally accredited education provider.

Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

Working within the Corporate & Community Engagement team, you will help deliver fundraising campaigns, events and digital initiatives that engage our supporter community and achieve participation and revenue goals.

You will support the planning and delivery of Mater Foundation’s signature community campaigns and events, including the International Women’s Day Fun Run presented by Queensland X-Ray, Mater Smiling for Smiddy cycling and triathlon events, and Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle for Cancer.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating campaign activities, schedules, budgets and administrative requirements to support successful delivery
  • Supporting digital fundraising and marketing strategies, including website content, testing and optimisation
  • Monitoring campaign performance, analysing results and contributing to post-campaign evaluations and reporting
  • Supporting supporter engagement, acquisition and retention initiatives in collaboration with campaign managers and relationship managers
  • Coordinating internal stakeholders, third-party suppliers and external partners to ensure project timelines are adhered to and key deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve campaign processes and fundraising outcomes
About you

You will have an understanding of contemporary fundraising practices and the not-for-profit sector, along with the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum two years’ experience developing, managing and implementing fundraising programs and projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing supporter relationships and contributing to acquisition and retention strategies
  • Experience supporting peer-to-peer fundraising events and campaigns
  • Experience using web content management platforms and digital fundraising tools
  • Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence working with data, spreadsheets and campaign reporting to monitor performance and inform improvements

Experience with fundraising platforms such as Funraisin, Monday.com and Power BI would be advantageous

A tertiary qualification in fundraising, marketing, events or a related discipline, or relevant study through the Fundraising Institute Australia, would be an advantage. Current membership of the Fundraising Institute of Australia is highly desirable.
