Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a field-based operator to support regional road maintenance. You will operate skid steer and other plant equipment, perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance, and contribute to safe, high-quality road infrastructure outcomes across the region.

The role is camp-away with Sunday-to-Friday work periods and one RDO per month. You will join a safety- and compliance-focused team, with opportunities to broaden plant operating capabilities and advance your career within

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy vehicles, skid steer or similar plant equipment.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills to complete work records.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to obtain any legislated or internal licensing as directed.

Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer and plant equipment to support road construction and maintenance.
• Undertake pre-start inspections and basic plant maintenance.
• Perform traffic management tasks and other operational duties.
• Contribute to safe and efficient delivery of maintenance across the region.
• Support the development of operational excellence and safe work practices.
