Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast is seeking passionate Chefs to join our culinary team across casual, part-time and full-time opportunities. You’ll gain valuable experience in a dynamic kitchen environment with a variety of service styles, from à la carte to large events, across our main kitchen and banqueting operations.

You will work with an experienced team, learning and growing your culinary skills while contributing to high standards of food quality, presentation and service in a resort setting.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualifications or previous commercial kitchen experience.
• A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality food across restaurant, banqueting and event services.
• Work across a variety of menus and styles of service.
• Support the delivery of conferences, weddings and large-scale events.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and Food & Beverage teams.
• Follow food safety, HACCP and WHS standards.
• Assist with preparation, stock rotation and maintaining an organised kitchen.
• Contribute to a positive and supportive kitchen culture.

We’re looking for passionate Chefs to join our culinary team across casual, part-time and full-time opportunities.

Whether you’re looking to build your experience, take the next step in your culinary career or find a role that offers flexibility, you’ll be part of a dynamic kitchen operation with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.

You’ll work alongside an experienced culinary team across our main kitchen, Sola Restaurant & Bar and our busy banqueting and events operation. With everything from à la carte dining to large-scale conferences, weddings and functions, you’ll gain valuable experience across a diverse resort environment.
