Three Beans Cafe, located on Collins Street, Melbourne CBD, seeks a Cafe Supervisor to lead daily floor operations and stock management. You will supervise shifts, coach baristas, ensure high coffee and food quality, and resolve customer feedback promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or senior barista role in a cafe or hospitality venue.

• Comfortable with basic POS systems and stock/ordering software (or willingness to learn).
• Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to work early mornings, Saturday, and cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly and end-of-month stock takes across coffee, food, beverages, and consumables.
• Prepare and place orders with suppliers in line with par levels and budget.
• Check stock on delivery against invoices; follow up on discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Monitor wastage, over-ordering, and stock discrepancies, and report trends to the owner.
• Maintain FIFO rotation and correct storage to minimise spoilage.
• Roster, shifts, delegate tasks, and ensure adequate floor and barista coverage.
• Train, coach, and support baristas and floor staff, stepping in on the machine or floor as needed.
• Foster a positive, professional team culture and address performance issues promptly.
• Ensure consistently high coffee and food quality and prompt, friendly service.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.

The Cafe Supervisor leads day-to-day floor operations at Three Beans Cafe, ensuring every customer receives excellent service and every shift runs smoothly. This role carries direct responsibility for stock take and ordering, team supervision, and maintaining the standards that have kept Three Beans a Collins Street favourite!
