Job summary

Curlys on the Boardwalk in Mount Coolum is seeking a cook to join our kitchen team and prepare breakfast and lunch dishes with focus on quality and consistency.

You will follow portion and recipe standards, maintain food safety and cleanliness, and work alongside both kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver great dining experiences. Weekend availability is preferred in this busy, family-owned cafe on the Sunshine Coast.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a busy cafe or restaurant.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced service environment.
• Reliable, organized and able to work well within a team.
• Takes pride in the standard of the food produced.
• Able to work independently when required.
• Positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team.
• Available to work weekends.

Working alongside our kitchen team at Curlys on the Boardwalk in Mount Coolum, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch dishes, maintaining consistent food quality and presentation, following portion and recipe standards, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, assisting with stock rotation and reducing wastage, and working closely with the kitchen and front of house teams.
