Job summary

WHSmith Australia’s Fresh+ Cafe at Port Macquarie Hospital is seeking a Café All Rounder to deliver outstanding customer service while preparing food and beverages to cafe standards. You will also assist with store presentation and daily operations within a hospital setting.

You will operate the POS, manage transactions, restock supplies, and maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the front-of-house, adapting to a fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and hospitality preferred.
• Food handling experience ideal.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Having own transportation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food and beverages to cafe standards and in line with food safety guidelines.

As a Café All Rounder, you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers, and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.

What being a Café All Rounder is all about:

• Preparing and serving food and beverages to café standards and in line with food safety guidelines
• Operating the POS system and handling transactions accurately
• Restocking supplies and ensuring the front-of-house is always well presented
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the café
• Handling both cash and card payments efficiently

• A passion for customers having an exceptional experience in store
• Experience in food handling would be ideal

Shifts typically vary across the week, including early starts and weekend shifts.
