NSW Department of Customer Service is seeking a Candidate Surveyor in the Cadastral Integrity team within the Office of the Registrar General (ORG). The role involves auditing deposited plans and surveying professionals to protect the NSW State cadastre and Torrens Title system, reporting to the Managing Surveyor.

Successful candidates will undertake field work, apply advanced surveying knowledge, and manage survey information with strong analytical and computer skills.

Competenze

• Tertiary qualifications in Surveying or equivalent.
• Eligible as a BOSSI Candidate Surveyor for Registration as a Land Surveyor in NSW.
• Current NSW driver's license and ability and willingness to travel throughout the state when required.

Mansioni

• Assist the Audit Surveyor in monitoring performance standards for the Land Titles Registry plan examination process.
• Apply surveying knowledge in a complex digital environment to assemble, process and disseminate survey information.
• Search land title and plan records to enable field surveys.
• Undertake survey audits and field inspections for quality assurance of recently registered plans.
• Conduct survey field work, process observations and carry out calculations to resolve survey problems.
• Draft survey plans for registration and prepare sketches and survey reports.
• Identify amendment action items in registered deposited plans and prepare correspondence to surveyors.
• Adhere to Work Health and Safety policies in field and office.
