Job summary

Mercor is seeking Mechanical & CAD Engineers to support AI data training from a remote setup. You must own a MacBook and can commit 10–20 hours per week on a contract basis. The role emphasizes executing CAD tasks on Mac hardware and documenting engineering decisions for AI model training.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in mechanical engineering or a Master’s in hand, plus proficiency with Mac-compatible CAD tools. Immediate start preferred.

Position: Mechanical & CAD Engineers (Must own MacBook)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50–$60/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 2–3 years of experience or currently pursuing a Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Mac-compatible CAD tools such as Fusion 360, Onshape, Shapr3D, or FreeCAD.
• Own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.

Start Date

• Immediate start preferred
