Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking reliable General Labourers/Trade Assistants for ongoing casual roles across construction, landscaping and warehouse projects in Queensland. Immediate start with consistent shifts and potential permanent opportunities.

You'll work on various sites, perform general labour tasks, and support tradespeople while earning weekly pay and superannuation. PPE provided in many cases; own PPE still required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card is required and a current driver licence is preferred.
• Physically capable of demanding manual labour and long shifts.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labouring and assist tradespeople on site.
• Site prep, material handling and wheelbarrow duty as required.
• Unloading containers and assisting with warehouse tasks.
• Support workers during shopfitting, landscaping and construction projects.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and wear PPE as required.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred)
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
