Benchmark Electrical Group is a well regarded NBN subcontractor based in Southern Sydney, offering a permanent full-time Telecommunication Cabler role. The successful candidate will install, maintain and repair fibre cabling systems, test cables, identify faults, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while handling related documentation.

Qualifications

• Language skills beyond English required.
• Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Knowledge of relevant cabling regulations and WHS legislation.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards.
• Certificate in network planning or telecommunication design.

Responsabilités

• Install, maintain and repair cable infrastructure as part of a team.
• Perform maintenance on existing cabling systems.
• Test cables and networks to company specifications.
• Identify and remove redundant cabling and install devices such as televisions, routers and internet tech.
• Troubleshoot cable network issues and ensure safety regulations.
• Install cable support structures (j-hooks, cable racks, inner duct).
• Repair cable poles and towers.
• Ensure cables are neatly tied and bundled per safety rules.
• Complete paperwork including timesheets, checklists and service orders.
• Determine faults in network and perform repairs or replacements.

1. 1. Installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure.
2. 2. Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems
3. 3. Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company
4. specifications 4. Identifying and removing redundant cabling. Installing of televisions, routers and internet technology devices.
5. 5. Troubleshooting issues with the cable network.
6. 6. Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks and inner duct.
7. 7. Repairing cable poles and towers
8. 8. Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to to safety regulations.
9. 9. Completing paperwork such as timesheets, checklists, vehicle inspection reports and service orders.
10. 10. Determining any faults in network and adjusting, replacing or repairing it.

Qualifications

1. 1. Relevant but not limited to certifications, such as Certificate III or at least a Diploma/Degree in Telecommunications or a related field.
2. 2. Certificate in network planning or telecommunication design.

Knowledge

1. 1. Comprehensive understanding of fibre cable connectors, racks and splice enclosures.
2. 2. Have technical and up to date knowledge of cabling regulations.
3. 3. Awareness of diverse cultural backgrounds
4. 4. Language skills other than in English
5. 5. Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
6. 6. Knowledge of WHS legislation.

Starting salary $80,028.
