Ampcontrol is seeking a Truck Driver / Trades Assistant for our Emerald operation on a full-time basis. The role involves transporting cables and equipment across mining sites and supporting workshop tasks, with on-the-job coaching to develop cable repair skills.

The position operates on a rotating roster and offers overtime when trained. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential for success in this hybrid role within our cable service team.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance in all tasks.
• Must be able to obtain a QLD Coal Board Medical.
• Forklift or dogging licence is desirable.
• Good hand tool skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive in presenting and maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Strong communication and a professional customer-facing approach.
• Flexible rostering and strong time management.
• Positive, collaborative team player with a good sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Transport cables and equipment across mining sites and reeling operations.
• Carry out onsite cable relocations and travel to customer mine sites.
• Interact professionally with customers and operate cable-related equipment.
• Provide Trades Assistant support in the workshop as needed, including cable repair tasks.
