Job summary

Ampcontrol in Emerald, Queensland is seeking a full-time Truck Driver / Trades Assistant to support our cable service operation. The role blends transporting cables and equipment with practical workshop tasks, offering on-the-job coaching to build cable repair skills.

You will work on a rotating roster (4 days on, 4 off) with overtime after training; a current HR licence and the ability to obtain a QLD Coal Board Medical are essential; a forklift or dogging licence is desirable, and safety comes

Responsibilities

• Transporting various sizes and types of reeling, trailing and flexible cables.
• Completing onsite cable relocations.
• Travelling to and working across customer mine sites.
• Liaising and interacting professionally with customers.
• Operating specialised equipment, including cable reeler attachments.
• Assisting with the repair of reeling, trailing and flexible cables.
• Inspecting and fitting plugs and couplers to cables.
• General maintenance or tasks within the workshop.
