Job summary

King Joinery KS Kitchens & Bedroom PTY LTD is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to manufacture, assemble and install cabinets and joinery on residential and commercial sites in Sydney. You will read drawings, measure and cut timber and hardware, and maintain high quality finishes.

The role requires at least 1 year of cabinetmaking experience and a Certificate III is preferred. This full-time position offers a minimum of 38 hours per week, potential overtime, and a salary range of 80,000–85,000

Qualifications

• Certificate III in cabinetmaking or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong cabinetmaking and joinery knowledge with hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble cabinets, cupboards, wardrobes and fitted furniture.
• Install cabinets and joinery at residential and commercial sites.

About the Company

The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated full-time Cabinetmaker to join our team. The Cabinetmaker is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, installing and repairing cabinets, furniture and other timber-based fittings in accordance with plans, specifications and customer requirements.

The duties are as follows, but not limited to:

• Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measuring, marking and cutting timber, laminate, MDF and other materials.
• Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately.
• Manufacturing and assembling cabinets, cupboards, wardrobes, shelving and other fitted furniture.
• Installing cabinets and joinery at residential and commercial sites.
• Fitting hinges, handles, drawer runners and other cabinet hardware.
• Checking measurements, alignment and finishes to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Sanding, finishing and preparing surfaces as required.
• Repairing or modifying existing cabinetry and furniture.
• Maintaining tools, machinery and a clean and safe work area.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Working independently and as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.

What we are looking for

• At least a Certificate III in cabinetmaking is preferable
• At least 1 year of strong cabinetmaking and joinery knowledge with hands-on experience
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Experience operating tools, machinery, and construction equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
