Job summary

Fetch Recruitment Pty is seeking skilled cabinet makers to join a Preston-based commercial joinery business that specializes in high-end custom joinery and commercial fit-outs. You will bring drawings to life, producing precise cabinetry for premium projects.

Your day-to-day includes reading architectural drawings, measuring, cutting, assembling and finishing timber, veneer and laminate, and delivering quality joinery on time within a professional workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial joinery experience.
• Confident reading drawings and working to specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of cabinetry construction and hardware.
• Experience with counters, reception desks and banquette seating.
• Experience with curved work, laminating and veneering.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, organised and proud of your workmanship.
• Full tool kit.

Responsibilities

The Role

You'll be responsible for taking commercial joinery from drawings through to a high-quality finished product.

Your day-to-day work will include

• Reading architectural and shop drawings
• Measuring, cutting and assembling commercial cabinetry
• Manufacturing custom and detailed joinery
• Working with timber, veneer, laminate and other premium materials
• Building counters and reception desks
• Manufacturing banquette seating
• Working on curved and detailed joinery
• Laminating and veneering
• Fitting hinges, runners and specialist hardware
• Working independently and as part of a team
