Job summary

National Jet Express seeks cabin crew professionals to deliver outstanding customer service on FIFO flights across Australia. You will ensure passenger safety, greet passengers, and communicate safety procedures while collaborating with pilots and crew.

The role requires a 24/7 availability, a height between 160cm and 190cm, and current First Aid/CPR and RSA credentials or willingness to obtain them. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen or permanent resident required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Height between 160 cm and 190 cm.
• Able to push/pull doors up to 18 kg.
• Hold a current passport and Australian driver's licence.
• Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) with 6 months validity.
• Hold or be willing to obtain RSA with 6 months validity.
• Swim 50 metres unaided and tread water for 3 minutes.
• Year 12 or equivalent; flexible availability 24/7.
• Experience working with diverse cultures and rapport-building ability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to all passengers, serve meals and beverages, greet passengers, and address feedback.
• Explain emergency and safety procedures to passengers.
• Liaise with Pilot, First Officer, and NJE staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Uphold professional uniform and grooming standards.
• Report and document any safety incidents or hazards.

About the role

We are looking for individuals who excel in customer service, prioritise safety, and bring a positive, approachable attitude. This role ensures passenger safety, delivers genuine care, and adheres to strict protocols.

This is a full‑time position involving shift work, including weekends, public holidays, and occasional overnight stays. Reporting to the Head of Cabin Crew, you will be the face of our company, representing us to passengers and clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently delivering exceptional customer serviceto all passengers, including serving food and drinks, greeting passengers, and addressing feedback/suggestions.

• Informing passengersabout emergency and safety procedures.

• Liaising effectivelywith the Pilot, First Officer, and other NJE staff.

• Maintaining a thorough knowledgeof our policies and procedures.

• Upholding a high standard of professional uniform and grooming presentation.

• Reporting and documenting any safety incidents or identified hazards.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Due to the aircraft we operate, you must have a height between 160cm and 190cm.

• Be able to push open and pull closed doors/exits weighing up to 18kgs. Use of both arms at above and below shoulder height is required.

• Hold a current passport.

• Hold an Australian Drivers Licence

• Hold a Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) and CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), or willing to obtain (with at least 6 months validity)

• Hold a current RSA, or willing to obtain (with at least 6 months validity)

• Be able to swim 50 metres unaided and tread water for 3 minutes.

• Be able to demonstrate one of the following:

  • Completed a minimum of year 12

• Have the availability to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Proven experience working with people from various cultures and backgrounds.

• Have a natural ability to build rapport with others.
