WHSmith is seeking a Buyer's Assistant to support the Buying team in our Sydney Support Office. You will manage item creation, maintenance, and price accuracy across merchandise systems, and update item details for promotions.
You’ll also create line sheets for distribution and liaise with buyers and suppliers on timelines. The role requires strong organisation, time management, and communication skills, with exposure to retail being ideal.
WHSmith are looking for a Buyer's Assistant to support our Buying team in our Sydney Support Office.
What you'll be doing:
Managing item creation and maintenance.
Ensuring price accuracy in merchandise systems.
Accurately updating item details for promotional programs.
Creating and maintaining line sheets for distribution to the relevant team, with correct images and information.
Managing communication with buyers and suppliers regarding delivery timelines, changes in delivery methods etc.
Collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure cohesive operations.

Highly organised.
Ability to prioritise with good time management skills.
Previous exposure to a retail business is ideal.
Strong communication skills and excellent time management.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
