Job summary

Tasman Butchers in Melton, Victoria, currently seeks experienced butchers for Fulltime and Casual roles at our Melton store. We offer above-award pay negotiated by experience, with opportunities to join the Tasman Family.

Qualifications

• Experienced in processing traditional cuts and customer service.
• Experience breaking beef and working with carcass stock and value-add products.
• Capable of mentoring apprentices and developing less experienced butchers.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality butchery work including traditional cuts.
• Engage with customers about cuts and cooking methods.
• Maintain high standards of personal presentation, hygiene and PPE usage.
• Assist with and support apprenticeship development and training.

We have immediate vacancies for Fulltime and Casual experiencedButchers atour Melton store located in Western Suburbs of Melbourne. The right person will be:

An experienced butcher that excels at processing traditional cuts and customer service,

Passionate about their trade and keen to develop our apprentices and lesser experienced butchers,

Understanding of the need to maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene,

Experienced in breaking BEEF, and working with Carcass Stock and Value Add Products, and

A person who loves food and talking to customers on the best cuts and cooking methods.
