M&T Resources is partnering with a complex enterprise to place a Business Analyst to support a significant SOC and SIEM transformation program in Brisbane. The role focuses on improving security monitoring, operational uplift, and process improvements across business and technology teams.

You will work with cyber security specialists, architects, operations, and business stakeholders to shape future-state processes, gather requirements, and enable successful cyber initiatives delivery.

Qualificações

• Experience as a Business Analyst in cyber security, ICT, or transformation programs.
• Experience supporting SOC or security monitoring initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience documenting requirements, processes and future-state designs.
• Ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.

We are partnering with a complex enterprise organisation seeking a Business Analyst to support the delivery of a significant Security Operations Centre (SOC) and SIEM transformation program. This role will focus on improving security monitoring capabilities, supporting operational uplift activities, and driving process improvements across business and technology teams.

Working closely with cyber security specialists, architects, operational teams, and business stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in shaping future state processes, gathering requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of critical cyber initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements gathering sessions
• Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Develop current-state and future-state process models and supporting artefacts
• Support SOC and SIEM onboarding activities, including security telemetry processes
• Conduct capability assessments, gap analysis and process improvement activities
• Collaborate with technical, security and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes
• Support transition planning, operational readiness and implementation activities
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle

About You

You are an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background working across cyber security, ICT, or transformation programs. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy engaging diverse stakeholder groups, and can confidently bridge the gap between business and technical teams.

Essential Experience

• Business analysis experience within cyber security, ICT or transformation programs
• Experience supporting initiatives within SOC or security monitoring environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience documenting requirements, business processes and future-state designs
• Ability to work across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups

Highly Regarded

• SOC maturity uplift, cyber transformation or security improvement programs
• Essential Eight, Zero Trust or Secure by Design initiatives
• Security telemetry or log source onboarding processes
• Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender or similar platforms
• Capability assessments, gap analysis and operating model reviews
• Large enterprise or public sector experience
• Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
