Job summary

Service Stream is seeking a Business System Analyst to support our Transport division in Melbourne, working from our office opposite Southern Cross Station. You will translate business requirements into practical system outcomes, configure JAMS, and help deliver testing, deployments and governance across data and interfaces.

• Experience configuring or supporting work management, field service or enterprise asset management systems.
• Hands-on JAMS experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience translating business requirements into workflows, forms, reports and system configuration.
• Experience with SQL server, querying, data validation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to support testing, deployment, incident resolution and controlled change.
• SSRS, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Power Apps or Power Automate experience would be highly desirable.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Commerce or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant Microsoft, SQL, Power BI, business analysis or continuous-improvement training is desirable.

Responsibilities

• JAMS configuration and support - administer and support the JAMS platform, maintain configuration, workflows, security and reference data, deliver minor improvements and troubleshooting.
• Requirements, testing and deployment - gather requirements, coordinate testing and user acceptance, manage defects, assist with deployments and post-implementation review.
• Operating model and standardisation - standardise and optimise business processes by aligning JAMS configurations with requirements and maintaining documentation.
• Reporting, integration and governance - develop operational reports and data extracts, manage JAMS interfaces and data quality, ensure access controls and change-management compliance.

Job description

We have a newly created opportunity for a Business System Analyst to join our growing ASX-listed company. You will support our Transport division with hands-on configuration, support and minor enhancements to our system. This role will be based out of our office in Melbourne across from Southern Cross Station.

About the role

In this role you will work closely with the Senior Systems Analyst and operational stakeholders, translating business requirements into practical, controlled system outcomes through process standardisation, system enablement and adoption.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• JAMS configuration and support - provide ongoing administration and support of the JAMS platform by maintaining system configuration, workflows, security and reference data, delivering minor system improvements and enhancements, and troubleshooting issues to ensure reliable and effective business operations.
• Requirements, testing and deployment - support the successful delivery of system changes by gathering and documenting business requirements, coordinating testing and user acceptance activities, managing defects and resolutions, and assisting with deployments, user communications and post-implementation review to ensure smooth adoption and operational outcomes.
• Operating model and standardisation - support the standardisation and optimisation of business processes by aligning JAMS configurations with requirements, reducing process variation and manual effort, improving data quality, and maintaining reusable documentation, process maps, training materials and system configuration standards.
• Reporting, integration and governance - support data integration, reporting and governance by developing operational reports and data extracts, managing JAMS interfaces and data quality processes, and ensuring compliance with access controls, privacy, cybersecurity, documentation and change-management requirements.

About you

You have experience in configuring or supporting work management, field service or enterprise asset management systems.

Our ideal candidate may have:

• Hands-on JAMS experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
• Experience translating business requirements into workflows forms, reports and system configuration.
• Experience with SQL server, querying, data validation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to support testing, deployment, incident resolution and controlled change.
• SSRS, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Power Apps or Power Automate experience would be highly desirable.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Commerce or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant Microsoft, SQL, Power BI, business analysis or continuous-improvement training is desirable.
