MW Recruitment in Wangaratta is seeking an experienced Manager to lead client relationships, mentor a growing team and drive growth in a regional accounting practice. You will take carriage of a diverse portfolio, lead accountants, and play a key role in the continued growth of the firm.

You will manage a portfolio, review statements and tax work, provide proactive tax planning, and partner with Partners on complex matters while guiding junior staff toward Director level in a firm that values

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified and public practice experience.
• Manager level experience with leading teams.
• Strong knowledge across business services, tax and compliance.
• Confident with developing junior staff and client relationships.
• Excellent communication and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business services and tax clients across industries.
• Review financial statements, tax returns and income tax provisions prepared by your team.
• Provide proactive tax planning and business advisory support to clients.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of accountants from graduate to senior level.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Liaise with Partners on complex technical matters and client strategy.
• Support practice management initiatives including WIP, billing and workflow.

A well established regional accounting firm in Wangaratta is looking for an experienced Manager to lead client relationships and mentor a growing team.

About The Role

This is a genuine opportunity to step into a Manager position within a highly regarded, long standing business services and tax practice based in Wangaratta. You'll take carriage of a diverse portfolio of business clients, lead a team of accountants, and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice. This firm has built a strong reputation across the region over many decades and offers real pathways to progress toward Director level.

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing a portfolio of business services and tax clients across a range of industries
• Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and income tax provisions prepared by your team
• Providing proactive tax planning and business advisory support to clients
• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of accountants from graduate through to senior level
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
• Liaising directly with Partners on complex technical matters and client strategy
• Supporting practice management initiatives including WIP, billing and team workflow

What We Are Looking For

• CA or CPA qualified
• Proven experience operating at Manager level within public practice
• Strong technical knowledge across business services, tax and compliance
• Confident leading and developing junior staff
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
